Camp 2012

My highlight for camp was making cupcakes because we could decorate and eat them after we finished. My other highlight was seeing the warriors at Swimarama on the last day of camp. My low light was having to run everywhere to look for things in amazing race. I reckon this years camp was better than last year.

Day 1 Of Netball

I was feeling a mixture of excitement and joy when I heard how lucky Point England was when a professional fitness trainer was coming and teaching us some skills.

The sun was shining down at our faces as Room 22 went to the netball courts to have netball training. Lucky I quickly slapped on my hat.

After our instructions from Liz she taught us the first skill. The first activity Liz taught us was how to do chest passes. Secondly we moved on to bouncing the ball so they can catch it on there waist.

Our next activity was practising our pivoting to the outside and that activity involved ensuring your landing.

Then we moved on to team relays. Our first relay involved chest passing and landing. Our second relay involved jumping over mini hurdles and learning how to pivot and land. I really enjoyed jumping over the mini hurdles.

Finally we got to play a game. This game involved all of the skills we learned. It was hot and everyone was sweating. There feet were. The game we played was very funny because some of the people we played with didn’t know how to play so they were doing some mistakes. The next time we go to netball session I want to play a real netball game against other good people.

My Goals

21.02.12

My achievement I was most proud of last year was reading because I did a better job then the year before.

The thing I was most proud of last year outside of the classroom was representing my school for sports.

In reading my learning goal is to be able to read and understand what the chapter book is all about, to be in a higher level then I am now. To achieve this goal I need to focus on what I’m doing and read more and more books.

In writing my goal is to work on my grammar and use interesting vocabulary. To achieve that goal I need to keep on proof reading my writing and then check it with a teacher.

In maths my goal is to learn and memorize my basic facts and division off by heart. To achieve that goal I need to write my timetables on paper and keep on learning until I’ve got it.

The learning area I think I need to improve in the most is maths and saying answers in three seconds.

My goal for this year around the school is to be a good role model to the little ones and focus on my work.

Reuniting with my net-book

This year, year fives up to eight get to have a net-book. It felt very good reuniting with my net-book because I didn’t take it in the holidays and it felt like it was gone for years. It also felt very good pressing the button and looking at it start up. I really enjoy having my netbook back and working with it. It really helped us and find more things to do.
